TEACHER BIO:

Chelsea is an island-born vinyasa, power and yin yoga and meditation instructor whose 14+ years of experience on the mat has been used to help students develop daily self-love practice and trust their intuition to create a life of pure authenticity, gratitude and joy.

Her teaching style and approach is deeply rooted in the belief that we all have an inner light that exists to guide us on our path towards living a happy, fulfilling life.

Chelsea grew up in Bend and took her first yoga class at the age of 14. At the age of 18, shortly after graduating high school, she enrolled in her first Iyengar 200-hour YTT at Groove Yoga (Bend, Oregon). She went on to her second 200-hour YTT focusing on the Ashtanga-Vinyasa disciplines in Koh Phangan, Thailand with All Yoga International and assisted their Bali training thereafter. From there, she spent the next 3 years teaching and traveling the world alone, where her knowledge in yoga and dedication to mindful and intentional living practices grew exponentially. She believes that we all the choice in every moment to suffer or surrender -- and she continues to choose gratitude and kindness. She studies under her teachers Bridget Evans, Kristin Tone, Amber Hayes, Shaun Anzaldo, Sean Corne and Rolf Gates.

Chelsea returned to Bend in 2018 for an opportunity to join the lululemon Bend team once again, where she worked as Assistant Manager for the Bend Showroom prior to moving to Colorado for college. She actively plans and coordinates collaborations between lululemon and the Bend community and loves connecting with guests to create long term relationships. Chelsea also teaches yoga & meditation at The Athletic Club of Bend and has been practicing at Groove Yoga since they opened their doors in 2010. She is very excited to connect The Haven’s members with her mindfulness communities and is overwhelmed with gratitude about the opportunity to bring about dynamic programming as Wellness & Vitality Director.

Her passion for teaching, writing and meditation has taken her around the world, from Indonesia to Costa Rica, Australia and Hong Kong. She is constantly amazed by how the practice continues to bring her new experiences and opportunities to grow, love, travel, write, and connect with her community around the world.
