Instead, we're getting cozy in the flex space and watching The Blackcountry Journal, a short film by Haven member Mallory Duncan, which won 'Best Film' in the BANFF Film Festival for Snow Sports.Â
In the film, a skier contemplates his connection to skiing and the mountains. As he hurries through the streets of LA, his path takes a turn after bumping into a jazz musician who helps him discover the correlation between jazz and skiing—an expression of art, skiing, and black culture.
We will have drinks, snacks, and mingling from 4:30 - 6, with the film starting at 5:00!! 🎞️
